12 Days to Get Your Online Biz Booming: Day 2

12 Days to Get Your Online Biz Booming: Day 2

planNOW is the most important time to be actively preparing, planning and promoting so that you can start 2015 with a boom. The biggest mistake entrepreneurs make during this time is that they back off on their planning and marketing efforts. This contributes to lost momentum and the benefits of all of their hard work. When the new year arrives, it feels as though like they are starting all over again. Ugh.

Why not take this time to plan, prepare and promote? This way, you are all set to go when 2015 arrives you are ready to go rather than just gearing up.

When you have a map or plan of just how you want your business to look, that plan will determine what actions you will take every day. A true entrepreneur bases every decision on their vision. You will not be flying by the seat of your pants.

You do not necessarily need a huge business plan. This is about getting clear on the details of the business you hope to create and getting both the dream and the details down on paper. Why? Because entrepreneurs are idea generators and it is quite easy to become distracted and unfocused.  Additionally, one of the biggest fears early stage businesses have is not having enough customers or making enough money. In my experience, if you have done ample research and you are offering a service that people want and are willing to pay for, then the only missing ingredient is a clear vision. If you are passionate, have a clear purpose and a plan, the energy and excitement you create will attract clients to you like a magnet.

Zig Ziglar always taught:

You were born to win, but to be the winner you were born to be you must plan to win and prepare to win. Then and only then can you legitimately expect to win.

  9. I love your idea here. You are right, this time of the year many bloggers back off and take a break. When we do not take the time to plan ahead an decide what direction we want to take our blog for the new year we will lose momentum and start behind the eight ball at the beginning of the new year instead of being off front leading.

You have given us a reminder of the importance of taking advantage of this time of the year. Thanks for sharing.

  11. Rachel, the Zig Ziglar quote is perfect for this time of year. I agree, we get so caught up in the holiday season and feeling grateful that the year is about over, we tend to want to nap if you will. But, this is the time of year to put your running shoes on and sprint! 😀

    Thank you for the reminder!

    • It really is Deborah.  I am hurrying to finish up  with my 2015 planning and pre-scheduling content so that I can power down for the last two weeks in 2014.

      Happy Holidays!

  12. I love Lesly’s comment, because I’m in much the same place she is in life.

New Year’s Day was always such a bummer for me, because the celebrations of the night before left me in no shape or frame of mind to begin a brand new year. I’m not a wild party gal, and I don’t drink. But believe me, just staying up late with my husband and children, watching movies, playing games, and eating all kinds of goodies, has its own way of leaving me sleepy and unmotivated the next day!

I have a better plan this time, and I know 2015 will be a far more productive year.
